A remedy for Office 2003 SP3 which blocked some file formats

office2007logo.jpgIt is in the headlines about file format blocking issues with the Office 2003 Service Pack 3, which is suppose deliver a security enhancement and stability improvements to this Office Suite. Just like what we can read over th news article written by Kevin McLaughlin for CMP Channel, Microsoft: Office 2003 SP3 Blocks Older Files.

Well, we cannot stand by and get along with this problem. And good enough, Microsoft issued some remedies to fix this problem regarding compatibility issues with the later versions of MS Office. This article contains ways to modify your Windows registry, this may be too technical for you but detailed instructions are given to follow. You can modify your registry via manual method or using Administrative Templates.

Just a note, please read the instructions carefully and backup your registry information if you’re not so sure of what you are doing.
