A tribute to E.T.?

What the hell is this?
Alright, this is a cool video and all, but quite why any music video director would decide to portray a band heading out to New Mexico to dig up copies of E.T. for the Atari 2600 is beyond me.
As we all know the game is widley regarded as one of the worst of all time (if the not the), so paying tribute to such a cyst of a game doesn’t make sense. Were they trying to draw ire from gamers the world over?
Well if that was their intention it hasn’t worked. The story has proven to be rather popular on Digg, and having watched it myself I did actually think it was a nice video. The song was ok, but sadly not many people are going to be checking out this video for the song.
The video was directed by Keith Schofield, the song is called “When I Wake Up” and it’s performed by (possibly) popular beat-combo Wintergreen. Peep the video the this URL here: http://keithschofield.com/et/, and if you like it, Digg it.
