A Windows Uber-Uninstaller

As my issues with not being able to re-install Windows Live Writer continue, I’m actively working with a couple of different Microsoft folks that are trying to figure out what the deal is with my machine.
Today at Blog World Expo ‘08 I spoke with Tris Hussey, who’s a big supporter of external blog editors, specifically Windows Live Writer. I shared with him my problems he mentioned some kind of “Windows Uber-uninstaller” that might work for me.
A quick search found this item on Microsoft’s website. I’m guessing this is what Tris was mentioning.
I’m working on the Windows Live components displayed above and removing them. There was nothing left over that mentioned the actual Windows Live Writer application, so I’m just hoping/guessing that one of these may be the culprit somehow.
I’ll let you know.
