A Year Older But I Still Feel Young!

I’m not trying to toot my own horn but I just had my 32nd Birthday yesterday. I don’t feel older and I know for a fact that I’m in much better health and shape than I was ten years ago. It’s amazing what you can do in two years time when you get tired of being the same person for too long.

I have never been a lazy person except for when I was a young kid, but somehow after I got married I relaxed a bit. I got a bit heavier and started to enjoy life a lot more from the front row of my living room with my good friend…BEER. I’ve always liked beer and I suppose I always will. I wasn’t that guy you see on TV in a “Wife beater” tank top and underwear watching TV in the dark with five o’clock shadow but I was a weekend drinker with a mind for television. Both of these I still do just in greater moderation.

With better nutritional knowledge and a totally different mind-set than what I used to have I am more energetic and focused. I’m still not where I want to be physically and I probably never will be satisfied with my physical attributes and such but I’ll keep working at it even if it’s at a snail’s pace. It’s more progress than a lot of people make.

There may be a day when you wake up in the morning and tiredly look in the mirror at yourself and realize that you want to make a change in yourself. When I a change in yourself I don’t only mean in the physical aspect but the mental aspect as well. Change and progress in life is good. If these things don;t happen you don’t learn anything and become a stagnant life form doomed to do nothing with yourself or for the better of other people.

Help yourself help others. Make great changes and greater changes will follow.

    Thanks Gabrielle!
I was re-reading the title and I thought…that sounds really stupid….I AM still young…now if I just turned 62 it would be a better title…but oh well. It’s not the first time and won;t be the last time I say something stupid…after all…I am a man.
