I was going to try to avoid talking about this but I just can’t ignore it.

In her first-round match at the Australian Open next week, Maria Sharapova will be sporting a piece from her new line of bags, the Sharapova Gold Collection.

“They are supreme quality tennis bags and totes designed specifically to meet the needs of players. And they are gold; who doesn’t love gold?” said Sharapova.

I’m actually more of a silver person myself when it comes to accessories, but nobody asked me. Maybe she’ll pair it with some frou-frou dress with lots of frillies; that would be smashing.
