ACCOUNTING FOR GOD’S UNFATHOMABLE WAYS: On Martin Luther King’s Birthday

The birthday of Martin Luther King (January 15) brings to mind the history of slavery and God’s unfathomable ways.

I cannot help but compare:

the social status, standard of living, achievements, world recognition and adulation many African Americans of today enjoy –who are descendants of slaves stolen from their land and families

with

the famine, genocide, tribal wars, exploitation suffered by many Africans of today who are descendants of those left behind who were lucky enough not to be taken into slavery.

and ask myself the question: what if . . . . . . . .
