ACCOUNTING FOR LIVING 7
I’ve always maintained that accounting is also for business. It’s concepts, relationships among accounts, system of balances are applicable in almost anything in life.
Accounting Solver presents a Balance Sheet for Living:

Health is like cash (in a business Balance Sheet) which you spend on what you have to do and/or want to do. The healthier you are, the more time you can have for family & friends, for yourself, for work; the more you can enjoy Nature (i.e., smell the roses); the better you can earn prestige or a good reputation. The more productive you can be in building up the Assets in your Balance Sheet for Living.
While Health is affected by Stress, it is enhanced by spending quality Time with family & friends –making sure, however, that you don’t cram work & relationships into all your Time, leaving no time for yourself. Spending quality time with family & friends also reduces the possibility of relationships becoming troublesome & developing into a source of Stress.
Health also ensures that you are able to Work effectively & efficiently so that you are able to meet the Bills & Obligations on the Liabilities side of the Balance for Living. If you keep your Consumption within affordable limits, you will have manageable Bills & Obligations which will not inordinately contribute to your Stress level.
Overall you should have Work-Life Balance. Celine Roque of Pimp Your Work has something important to say in her post What Is Your Definition of a Good Work-Life Balance.

While on the job, I have heard so much buzz about work-life balance. Would love to see the employers move from talking about it to being about it!
Too true, Tisa.
However, there is at least one company in the business district of Makati (Philippines) where there is a massage room where the management committee actually meets while enjoying a massage.
