Sink or swim: Adapt or go the way of the Dodo. This seems to be the mantra of FeedBlitz at the moment. In a series of announcements, FeedBlitz has revealed that its has dropped its free service and has taken up an ad-supported service. Renaming and reformatting of the service as FeedBlitz Newsletter.

I first encountered the news from Startup Squad and it was pointed out that FeedBlitz has dropped its free version and has now opted to provide its feed service as an Ad-supported service and a Premium service called FeedBlitz Newsletter Edition and Premium respectively. This has been confirmed by FeedBlitz here, here and here.

Ad-Supported and Premium service will have the same features and functions. The sole difference between the two is that Premium has no ads. According to FeedBlitz the new service is -

…the only service to send and receive newsletters from email and IM and RSS and the web and more.[Source]

A whole page of features are listed here. FeedBlitz has also upgraded all free accounts to FeedBlitz Newsletter.
