Add Another Award to that Pile Over Therrr

Yesterday, Florida’s Tim Tebow added yet another trophy to his collection – the James E. Sullivan Memorial Award. This honor is given to an athlete in any college sport who excels in leadership, character, sportsmanship, and ideals.

Tebow was the surprise win over the natural choice, 61-year-old Philippa Raschker, a track and field athlete from Marietta, Georgia, who became the oldest college scholarship athlete ever in 1997 at the age of 50 and has set more than 100 world records in her sport and is one of the most respected athletes in the entire world.

Tim Tebow: Take that, Granny.

Tim, why don’t you share the love a little and let someone else win an award?

TT: I’ll share your face…with my FOOT!

That’s not very nice.

TT and Chuck Norris, simultaneously: *roundhouse kick*

Ok, ok, in all seriousness, did Tebow deserve this award? Yes, probably, although the other athletes nominated were excellent candidates as well. I’m still waiting and wondering though. It seems unlikely that Tebow will match his 2007 season this year. You peaked too early, man.
