Adding Frog Jumps to Your Fitness Routine

Frog jumps are a terrific exercise to increase your heart rate and burn some extra calories. They are great if you are running short on time and can’t do your complete fitness routine, or if you want to add them to the end of your daily regimen as an extra challenge.

To do frog jumps, get into the squat position as low to the floor as you can get. Extend your hands out in front of you, bracing yourself with the floor if need be.

Using an explosive movement, push yourself up off the floor, jumping up into the air. In the air, tap your heels together and raise your hands above your head.

When landing, keep your knees bent and then instantly return to the squat position. As quickly as possible, explode into your next jump.

Do three sets of 10 or 15 jumps with short rest between the sets.

To make things even more difficult, hold a medicine ball while you are doing frog jumps.
