Adding Google Custom Searches to IE7

IE7 Create Custom Searchesb5media just announced they’ve incorporated Google’s Custom Search into their main page. This allows visitors to search across all of b5media’s blogs for information they need.

IE7 makes it super easy to incorporate your Google Custom Searches into your IE7 and search your favorite sites from anywhere, which I talked about on Emerging Earth. What’s even better is you can collect groups of custom searches to give you even more functionality.

I’m not sure if this is exactly how it works, but the instructions tell you to search for “TEST” in your preferred search engine, then copy the URL of the search results from the address bar and paste it into the space provided on the form. I think the form then strips everything it doesn’t need past the “TEST” in the URL and leaves you with just the URL of your preferred search to include.

I just added the b5media custom search to IE7 and it works like a charm.
