Adrian Peterson may be traded

NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
If you are a Viking fan then this is not intended for you. The Vikings are going to keep Adrian Peterson until he can’t walk.

If you are Fantasy Football owner then this is intended for you.
The 300 movie starring Lena Heady

Here is the scenario. My team is undefeated and in 2nd place in my league. (One game was a tie.) This week was supposed to be a cakewalk. The last place team in my league was preparing to face my team, the Spartans.

Spartans prepare for battle!

(From 300 a must see movie for any sports fan, human being, or android.)

Nothing like 300 Spartans warriors against 10,000 enemy soldiers. Put your money on the Spartans!

As you can see this movie has an awesome babe too. And don’t get me started about the love scene.

After Sunday my team was 4 points down. It was a disastrous week, but not to worry,

HEY! Quit looking at the babe and focus, man, focus. There is an important story to be told here.

Because going into the Monday night game only the Spartans had a player left and it was Adrian Peterson. Hey, not to worry, Adrian only needed 50 yards of pass receptions or running yards. Even if he scored just 1 touchdown, victory was mine. This is Adrian Peterson and the Vikings were facing the Saints. Not exactly a hallmark of defense.

21 carries and only 32 yards later my Spartans went down in defeat. Arrrrgggghhhh!

It gets worse. My opponent started Steven Jackson at one of the running back spots. It was his bye week. Incredible, losing to the last place team when he does not even play one of his running backs.

Oh, it does not stop here. A careful analysis reveals a Spartan team full of nutballs. Yeah, nutballs. How can Roy Williams and Ocho Cinco be on the same team? That is not a Fantasy, it is a nightmare.

Oh yes, my faithful reader, it does not stop there. Donovan McNabb is my QB. Have you ever seen a more mercurial player than McNabb? Have you ever used the word mercurial and not used the word McNabb in the same sentence?

My backup QB has been getting most of the starts and he is Jay Cutler of the Broncos, arguably a hot quarterback, but not this last week. He is just like the stock market. First he is way up, and then he is way down. Oh, wait a minute; the Stock Market is more like way down, then way down more. Forgive the grammar, just thinking about my disappearing 401K makes me want to trade both Donovan and Jay Cutler, but that would make no sense at all.

Maybe it is time to go back to staring at the photo of Lena Heady again.

Hey Jim you aren’t kidding about that scene. She is also on the Sarah Connor chronicles if you would like to check her out every Monday.

Wow! Unreal. Just watched that show last night and did not make the connection. Usually don’t watch that show, but with no Battlestar Gallactica had to do something.
    Excellent advice Randy!

  1. [...] Adrian Peterson is 5th with 90.4 and might be leading, but when my Fantasy Team needed him last week, Adrian only had 32 yards in 21 carries. Ouch! Check the story on Adrian and get a great picture of Lena Heady in the movie 300. She is the mother in the new Terminator TV show. Adrian Peterson may be traded [...]
