As an advertising guru, Terry O’Reilly rocks.
The host of The Age of Persuasion is back for his third season of audio voyages inside the world of advertising, trends, and influencing behavior.
The series airs on CBC Radio One Saturday mornings at 11:30, or Sirius satellite at 10:30 a.m. Eastern Time. (For anyone outside Canada, it gets complicated. Go to the CBC.ca radio page Saturday, calculate which time zone is at – or close to – 11:30 a.m., and click on that time zone to hear streaming audio.)
You can pick up the first year’s show, called O’Reilly on Advertising, on CD.
No, the episodes aren’t available in podcast format. The huge amount of copyrighted material woven into each episode makes licensing for a podcast unthinkable until licensing music, actors and other sound for the Internet gets a bit more advanced. You can catch snippets of the shows on the website.
This show is worth spending a bit of time chasing down.

Fantastic program. Only one I try to set my schedual around. Why is it only in one time slot for the whole week?
It looks like there’s an unofficial Age of Persuasion Podcast. It uses the mp3s posted on the CBC site and puts them together in a podcast.
