aideRSS Inc has unleashed its aideRSS to the public or rather for the public – which means you and me can use it. Just go to aideRSS website here and start using the service. You have to register and log-in order to make use of aideRSS. Once you are in using aideRSS’s is easy peasie. And this is due to aideRSS’ intelligent assistant PostRank, an application which ranks and filters each article – based on user engagement metrics.

All one has to do is to enter the url of a blog or a webfeed. Click the Analyze button and wait. Afterwards, a page indicating the PostRank of each post is shown along with several options. From here you can choose whether to see the (i) Top 20, (ii) Best Posts, (iii) Great Posts, (iv) Good Posts or (v)All Posts of the feed.

But lets get to the important question. What can we do with it? Or aside from being a free service, what does aide RSS Offer …

For People who read RSS: Us

First, aideRSS allows readers to filter the webfeed: no more flood of posts and articles. Second, You can use use aideRSS two ways: First by monitoring a pre-filtered feed on the site and second by importing the prefiltered feed on a number of RSS reader like Google Reader, Live Bookmarks, Bloglines, and Yahoo.

For Bloggers and Web Publishers: Most of Us

aideRSS enables bloggers and web publishers to offer filtered feed to readers. The service also allows them to show to readers what are the top posts of their blog based on PostRank. Both are achieved through ready widgets available on the aideRSS site.

Navigating and using aideRSS seemed easy enough. And setting up a filtered RSS feeds takes only a few minutes. Try it out and post your feedback.
