With the game tied 3-3 in the eighth inning, Pujols hit a single. He then stole second base and was able to score on a single by Ryan Ludwick. The Cardinals were able to hold the advantage and post a 4-3 victory.

On the game, Pujols was 2-for-4 at the plate. The stolen base was his third of the season. He’s currently batting .355 in the 2009 baseball season.

For the Cubs, it was another disappointing loss after falling into an 0-3 hole. They battled back but couldn’t get on top.

On the season, the Cubs are now 8-7. The Cardinals, on the other hand, improved to 12-5 with the win.
