Albertans Keeping Us Prairie Folk Proud!

The Calgary Herald reported today that my home-province’s next door neighbors love their beer. The article quote some booze professional as saying that Albertans “…don’t need fancy, frilly things….”…which is why they also don’t like Celine Dion. Apparently half of all alcohol sales are beer, most is bought at the liquor store and drank at home. Bush parties!
I grew up an hour from the Alberta border, and the legal age in Alberta is only 18, so I visited frequently for about a year. My take is that Western Canadian beer is just way better than beer elsewhere.
