Alex Rodriguez Should Be Suspended – ARoid

When all the baseball players were getting busted for steroids, Alex Rodriguez was one player who a lot of people pointed to as being the poster boy for the clean players. Oops. On Saturday, an SI report indicated that Alex Rodriguez tested positive for steroids while with the Texas Rangers in 2003.
While his steroid test back then was supposed to stay anonymous, that shouldn’t stop Major League Baseball from suspending Alex Rodriguez. This is yet another black eye to the sport — at a time when the steroid talk was finally dying down.
Whether he’s suspended or not, Rodriguez will now always be viewed as a tainted athlete. He could take blood tests for the next decade but everyone will equate Rodriguez with steroids. Tough break but it’s hard to feel sorry for a guy who cheated.
If commissioner Bud Selig were a smart businessman (try to hold your laughs), he would release all the names of the players who have tested positive. Get all the bad news out of the way. If he doesn’t, this steroid era will just drag on and on and on.

Agreed, MLB should release all names associated with this new list. It’s amazing how a test in 2003 was just released before the 2009 season. MLB opened a massive wound with the steroid allegations and it’s a wound that will never heal. Some of the biggest players in the game and in history are now associated with steroids. I don’t believe A-Rod should be suspended for a test that was suppose to come with no repercutions. However, A-Rod will never out live this even if he tests negative from here on out. America’s Pastime has been tampered with and the game as our generation knows it will never be the same. MLB should be ashamed for what they have let slip through the cracks until Jose Canseco let the cat out of the bag.
arod should get suspended like the other players what does he think that he is better then the rest cause that is not right but i am a aroid fan
