Seems like Robert Allenby is feeling a little remorseful. After calling out Anthony Kim for doing what many 24-year-olds do, the Australian has said he has personally apologized to Kim for the comments he made. To refresh your memory, Allenby called Kim the “current John Daly” and the U.S. Presidents Cup team’s “loosest cannon.” He also claimed that Kim had been out partying until 4 a.m. the night before their singles match, and that Kim had come back to the U.S. team’s hotel walking “sideways.” Not that it mattered, Kim soundly defeated Allenby in their singles match.

“While I feel like the comments published were taken out of context, I did call Anthony to apologize for anything that I said or inferred that could possibly portray Anthony as anything less than a professional of the highest caliber,” Allenby said.
Kim, very graciously, accepted Allenby’s apology. Which is good, since the two may meet up again at the Volvo World Match Play Championship later this month.
