Alternatives to TVLinks

October 22, 2007 by Mike Abundo

What do copyright trolls do when they can’t harass big video-sharing sites? They go after any poor schmuck who even mentions those sites. That’s what they did to TVLinks, a site that just lists TV shows online.

Just as a big fuck-you to those copyright trolls, check out these alternatives to TVLinks.

Alluc.org
Boxsweeper
Campusist
Find TV Links
Nabolister
OVGuide
TV Link Vault
Videohybrid

For more meta goodness, Free TV Search searches sites that link to TV shows online.

They’re called hyperlinks, you Neanderthal TV execs. Deal with it.

  1. here is a post I did a few weeks ago with tons of places where you can find tv episodes online. These are good ones as well. I will add these to my list at http://reelseo.com/tv-video-search-sites/
    Thanks

  2. Chris Tew says:

TV-Links was the 182nd biggest site in the world before it went down. That is HUGE!!!

That’s bigger than NBC.com and Fox.com put together.

The guy who owned that site was raking it in from advertising by systematically linking to and encouraging copyright theft. By my own estimations he will have been earning about $30,000 a month.

Do you think he was sharing any of that with the people who made these shows, or making donations to the eff.org to protect consumer rights to content. No he didn’t.

Also I don’t know where this misconception is that this is a case of copyright trolls harassing the little guy – that of course does happen but this is not the case here – TVLinks is the 182nd busiest site in the world and is NOT small.

Also are forgetting a $1 BILLION lawsuit hanging over YouTube? The big guys are getting stick too.

  4. Specter says:

Fuck you dude, the man was providing a great service and the bastards who direct and produce the shows and movies don’t need anymore money. Just like a baseball player who “can’t survive” on 13 million a year, the big troll fucks need to learn how to budget better.

  5. kalanziut says:

  7. Illusion says:

Hay, screw you Chris Tew, you little worm, you shouldn’t talk about shit you don’t understand, especially if your just going to echo the bullshit lies that FACT is feeding sheeple like yourself.

I for one was a Mod for tv-links for over a month, and we discussed budgets more then once. $30k, wtf? He was barely making enough to keep the server up. Why do you think we had a donation button, idiot!?

The whole lie about the owner making big cash off of adverts was a crock of shit.

Again, research your fucking facts before you go spewing false crap.
