An Ultimate Distraction For Writers

Can you see what’s in my backyard? Yep, kittens! There are actually four of them and plus, of course, the mom. All feral at the moment, but three and maybe four of the kittens are spoken for. I’ll try to trap mom once the kittens are gone and get her nutered, then, if she’ll let me, truly befriend her and maybe even introduce her into the house.
But kittens! I’d forgotten just what a distraction they can be… even more than puppies.

I completely agree, Anne. Cats are the ultimate distraction from writing.
It doesn’t help that my office is “open” to the rest of the house (the divider isn’t finished yet). Sometimes my cats are insistent on sitting in the space in front of my monitor, or stepping on my keyboard. Or, you know, distracting me with their cuteness that I get up to rub their bellies.
Awww….kittens. So cute.
Celine… yes, editor cats require tummy rubbing… and as near as I can tell all cats who come indoors are editor cats.
April… I was waiting for the first “Awww” Thanks!
Okay, that little tortie who didn’t realize quite how BIG was that first step, has me grinning ear to ear.
lol… hard to resist aren’t they… actually the two torities and the grey tabby (under the chin of the orange one) now have homes – and I may take on the orange one and the mom…
