The Blog Deities giveth, the Blog Deities taketh away. Someone must have snuffed out all those worship candles we mentioned in the previous post.
Alas, the verdict is in, courtesy of NFL spokesman Greg Aiello. Ha, bet he had an easy-breezy day at work today, playing solitaire, sending forwards via email and the like. Or not. Anyway, here’s the scoop once and for all:
“CBS has informed us that the unusual audio moment heard by fans during the Patriots-Colts telecast was the result of tape feedback in the CBS production truck and was isolated to the CBS broadcast. It was in no way related to any sound within the stadium and could not be heard in the stadium.”
As Bacchus said, well, we can still grumble about the officiating.* Phew! That’s why it’s always best to find at least two things about which to complain: We need backups for when rumors are quelled before we’ve squeezed all the blog foddah out of them.
And that poor audio engineer we mentioned in the last post, we’re thinking of him. Geez, the guy’s 15-minutes-of-coolness was cut short to what, 8 or 10 minutes at most?
