Tucson, AZ!! That was the correct answer to my silly game, “Where in the world is Darlene?” Jennifer Fuller from Small Business Boomer won the contest! It was an easy contest, and I finally get to give a way a prize. My favorite book by Ron Fry, 101 Great Answers to the Toughest Interview Questions. Jennifer, thank you for playing with me while I am traveling (yes, I am sitting in the airport waiting for my flight home). I am excited to send you the book. I wanted to be an actress, and I did give it a shot. I loved it, but realized that I would probably never get to the point where I could have my own opinion be respected, it’s usually all about the director. I’m glad I didn’t pursue it because I would never want to deal with the hassles of the paparazi and internet that people deal with now.
I grew up in the 60’s–so you can maybe understand why I wanted to be a politician or an activist. Luckily, I became practical in college and became an accountant instead—but I still yearn to be active in the political arena.
I wanted to be a famous musician like Barry Manilow! Christ!!!!!

When I was a kid I wanted to be a teacher and help kids learn. I finished my PhD a couple of years ago, have taught a number of university classes, and currently work publishing educational materials for kids.

When I was growing up I wanted to be a hair stylist, and would sit for hours styling my barbie’s hair. Then I wanted to be a veternarian and then a forensic scientist. I could never decide!
