Angus Burgers Coming to McDonald’s

On Thursday, you may notice a few additions to the menu at your local McDonald’s. In all their United States, McDonald’s will be unveiling a line of Angus burgers. These burgers will reportedly cost around four dollars each.
The three Angus burgers will include one with cheese and bacon, a second with mushrooms and swiss cheese and a third one with tomatoes and pickles. The burgers will contain 1/3rd pound of Angus beef.
A number of other fast food restaurants have started to offer Angus burgers in hopes of wooing people who would typically head to a sit-down restaurant for a higher quality burger. Especially with people saving money in the current global economic downturn, an economic high end burger could be a hit on McDonald’s menu.
While these burgers will be on their menu for the next few months, the company hasn’t announced whether or not the new Angus burgers will become a permanent fixture.

I think this burger is going to be gross. Had Burger King not come out with this first in the big chain world and grilled it, the McD version may have a chance. McD kinda fries their burgers and this is a thick burger- ugh. McD needs to stick to their core products and controlling their value meal prices instead of adding more products to the menu. The McCafe has been marketed wonderfully- BUT the product is another story. The crew doesn’t know about the drinks all that well and the quality has been questionable in 3 different states I’ve visited. They are America’s fast food chain and need to stick to refining the basics.
