Another project: Yamhill.TV
Just to keep the creative juices flowing, I’m firing up another little web project. Nothing earth shaking, but I think it’ll be fun. It’s Yamhill.TV. This is an “internet TV channel” for Yamhill County, Oregon (where I live). I’ll interview interesting local people, check out some events in the area, etc. I just released the first video, and I’ll aim for one per week. I’ve got one completed video in the hopper and one more that I need to edit. If I can keep a 2-video buffer, I think I’ll be okay. I blame my friend Dan, the proprietor of Berks.TV, for introducing me to this diversion.
This is all it is for now, but if traffic and interest take hold, I may pursue some advertising options. So far, it’s just really been fun getting to learn about video stuff. So much fun that I have at least two video posts planned for Slacker Manager in the near future. Should be fun!

Congrats on launching Yamhill.TV!, and thanks for the link! Looking forward to some video on Slacker Manager, too….
This should really be a fun and interesting experiment. I think the possiblities in local media in the U.S. are enormous and vastly untapped at this time.
It should be a real learning experience and help be a case study in what may or may not locally work.
