Another Yahoo! Bookmarks Snafu

\\\"MyYahooI\\\’ve documented my experiences with some of the recent changes to the Yahoo! Bookmarks functionality and toolbar.\\r\\n

  1. Yahoo Shares Bookmarks – Duh!

  3. Yahoo Bookmarks Quick Review

  5. Yahoo Toolbar Actually Works
  6. \\r\\n

\\r\\nSince that time, I thought I had shared the fact that I was really unimpressed with the new Yahoo! Toolbar and bookmarks functionality. I\\\’ve had a few e-mail exchanges with their development team trying to explain the features they lost and why the lack of those features has caused me to repeatedly uninstall their latest updates after about 5 minutes.\\r\\n\\r\\nI login to my computer this morning and notice that their collection of changes has now impacted the ability for MyYahoo! to display my bookmarks module successfully. Luckily my existing Yahoo! Toolbar continues to give me the functionality I need so that\\\’s at least one bright spot. Now why after keeping the latest Yahoo! Mail version in beta for what seems forever, would you just come in and break functionality to existing features being happily used by customers with no warning?\\r\\n\\r\\nThis pushes me to look further into switching my complete bookmark functionality over to Google Bookmarks to see what they offer. It might not be long before I start using Google\\\’s Personalized homepage instead of MyYahoo! either. I was just invited and joined a Yahoo! Customer Experience panel, maybe I\\\’ll get the chance to share my opinions of some of their latest changes soon.

Hi ,i have just installed yahoo bookmarks beta unintentionally and am having one hell of an awful time with it. None of the functions work!!!!
Now I can’t email pages or move pages into organised folders as they suggest. I only thought -what’s this?- when the new page appeared and found I had installed the thing with no warning. Grrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!
How do i get my old email this page button to work again?????? Can you help

The best thing I figured out was to uninstall the new bookmarks tool. Luckily, I had kept a previous version of the bookmarks tool and reinstalled the old version.

  1. [...] It appears that Yahoo has done it again and updated their software and eliminated the ability for me to use it the way I would prefer. I’ve written previously about my experience with their new toolbar and my dissatisfaction with said “new” features here, here, here and here. [...]
