The Anquan Boldin trade scenarios became more realistic on Wednesday when Arizona Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt admitted that the team is listening to trade offers for the talented wide receiver. While the two sides are working on a new contract, reports indicate that the negotiations haven’t progressed beyond the initial stage.

The Cardinals made the Super Bowl last season but Boldin has been unhappy since the beginning of last year. Boldin’s unhappiness seems to stem from Larry Fitzgerald, a fellow wide receiver on the Cardinals, getting a $40 million contract and Boldin not being offered a similar deal.
Since entering the NFL, Boldin has been successful since Day 1. He had 101 catches in his first season and is coming off a campaign in which he had 89 catches for 1,038 yards and 11 touchdowns despite missing four games due to injury. In his six year career, Boldin has 502 receptions for 6,496 yards and 40 touchdowns.
Among the teams said to be interested in trading for Boldin are the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles. The Giants need to replace Plaxico Burress, while the Eagles have been searching for a talented number one receiver since the departure of Terrell Owens.
