AOL Disks

I know the Internet is not what this blog is about, but I have to talk about AOL. You are probably wondering why AOL? Even though I can go on forever about how crappy their software is, I won’t. Yes, AOL has the slowest speeds on the planet, but that’s not it. You can also rule out me talking about their customer service, because they don’t really have it.

What I want to talk about is their wonderful disks. I have been collecting them for over a decade. I have disks that have pictures from Lord of the Rings to Britney Spears to the AOL guy. I am collecting them for one purpose, wallpaper. One day I hope to have acreage and will build a huge workshop for all my computers.

I have an Apple IIe, and a commodore 64, and a Tandy 1000, and so on, and so on. When I build my workshop I am going to have one wall with mouse pads and another with AOL disks. My wife (Uncover the Internet)does not know this yet so don’t tell her.
