Apple iPhone Sales are HUGE

The Apple iPhone’s opening weekend was a huge success! The latest estimates from Goldman Sachs are that 700,000 iPhone’s were sold on the weekend after the June 29th launch. This is almost double what the original iPhone analysts expectations were.

The iPhone quickly sold out at most of the AT&T stores around the United States and even at a few of the Apple stores. There was a 2 iPhones per person limit set on purchases at the Apple store. The successful weekend for Apple will likely translate into positive movement of Apple Inc’s stock.

There is still little infromation about when the iPhone will be available in Canada with Rogers Wireless. Some Canadians have tried to use a Rogers Wireless SIM card in their iPhones purchased in the United States only to find a SIM card error. If the SIM card in the iPhone is not AT&T the iPhone will not function.
