Apple’s stand on piracy: Whutever! /shrug

Apple has recently dumped the Serial Number registration for iWork ‘09. If you’re buying it off the retail box, it will work as a full version without having to input anything! It’s the same with the iLife suite – which never required a key to work since it’s usually bundled with a new Mac. The same also goes for a copy of any Mac OS.

Remember that Apple isn’t just a software company. They are into the total user experience having a monopoly on both hardware and software. You NEED a Mac to use iLife or iWork properly and ONLY Apple makes these.

So yeah, the money you pay for iWork probably just goes to an employee bonus :)
