Are Sanchez and Stafford ready?

NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
All the bad teams in the league seem to need a new quarterback, but if you want to draft your new quarterback with a high draft pick then you have to shell out a lot of money. Now a days, that means they had better be ready to play right away. The money matters.
Is Matt Stafford ready?
Mel Kiper Jr. believes that Matt Stafford and Mark Sanchez are both quarterbacks that will do well in the NFL, but does he think they are ready?
ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. raises all of the pertinent questions concerning Stafford and Sanchez. “How NFL-ready is he? How much time do we have to spend with him? Do we want to commit all these dollars?” Kiper wonders aloud. “They don’t treat quarterbacks like they did in the 1980s, where you have three to four years to develop them. They want them to play right away.
“In Matthew Stafford’s case, that’s not realistic. In Mark Sanchez’s case, it’s not realistic.”
The Detroit Lions are probably chasing Matt Stafford and the Seattle Seahawks will probably go for Mark Sanchez. It remains to be seen if Mel is right and they are not ready.
