Are These eBay Items for Real?

Yesterday I received an email from a visitor to my website, who was studying my “What to Sell” page. Her comment was, “The products on your coaching page…is that for real? Some of the things seem a bit over the top, like the used muffin pan…are those actually things that you have sold?”
I had to laugh. Yes, they are all items I have actually sold – that how and why the page on my website was developed – from my own experience. Since 2003, I have sold over 15,000 items – all from thrift stores, garage sales, my own home, and for other people.
As for the muffin pan, the item shown is a Pampered Chef stoneware item. A new stoneware muffin pan costs $32.00 – see one on the Pampered Chef site. You can find these for less thank $5, gently used, at garage sales and thrift stores. You can sell gently used Pampered Chef stoneware items for $15 and up on ebay. See completed listings by clicking here. So, you can make about a $10 profit on this one item. The Pampered Chef stoneware items are good sellers on eBay.
Many sellers earn their living by doing this – learning what sells, finding it, and selling it on eBay on a daily basis. If you can make $10 or more profit on an item, and sell 100+ items a month, it is not a bad income stream for the family.
Keep in mind that you wil not get rich selling garage sale and thrift store items on eBay. The money comes as a cumulative effect of selling different things over a period of time. In other words, a series of sales over a period of time have a greater effect than one individual sale. Making money from eBay selling is a way of life, not a one time action.
