Let’s look at how a butterfly operates which is to fly and land on flower after flower while it shares its nectur with each flower. How can this help someone who is trying to understand and begin using social media? Good question! Basically, there are many social media websites that you could connect on but you must be selective in where you socialize and network.

In being selective, you want to make sure that you choose social media websites that will help you grow your network of influence and not just cause you to be busy. Keep in mind that the butterfly doesn’t land on every flower in the garden but only on a select few. So be wise in your selective process and how the connections you make will help you grow your business or network with others that you can help grow their business.
To help you in the process of being an effective social media butterfly, I thought it would be helpful to share some basic information with you. I have found the following information very helpful and I think you will too:

According to the article, Be A Social Media Butterfly from Lawn and Garden Retailer (http://www.lgrmag.com) by Adam Weinroth…
At the core of social media are the concepts of conversation, collaboration and community. Social media is about consumers demanding more than a one-way experience. They want to speak to their brands, products, retailers, content and one another. Social media makes that all possible. In the past, communication was a one-way street where companies spoke to consumers via marketing and advertising, but consumers never had a chance to respond.
With all of this in mind, being a “selective” social media butterfly is a good thing. It can help you grow your social media network, your business and your influence.
