Eric thanks for adding that comment. I had booted my computer the last couple of times and noticed it was back for me. I kept thinking I hadn't turned it off again when I had it up for grabbing the screen shots but it kept coming back. Your method is the one I usually use, but thought the other one would be easier for people. Good to know this method is the one that works permanently. Thanks again.

Don't use the method posted above, it'll come back! Click the small triangle on the Language bar, then click "Settings". On this next screen, click "Language Bar..." down in the "Preferences" section at the bottom. Finally, deselect "Show the Language bar on the desktop".

This will permanently remove the Language bar so it doesn't come back after a reboot. :)

I'm using two different keyboard layouts, EN and RO, therefore the language bar stays there; however, I only let it show me the current language I'm typing in, so it doesn't clutter my taskbar too much.

However, I did see people who never use it but keep it enabled nonetheless; it's the type of computer user who also installs 5 different browser toolbars because they were bundled, never bothers to use them, never bothers to remove them. And I couldn't care less.
