Shiver me timbers, here at the helm of the good ship Re: Retro we scurvy sea dogs enjoy nothing so much as pirate talk, arrr, and there be nothin’ so piratical as to steal a YouTube video or two from the very locker o’ Davy Jones himself. And what’s more, no better or more fittin’ celebration be there for International Talk Like A Pirate Day than to bask in the doin’s of a famous pirate o’ legend, and what more famous pirate be there than Guybrush Threepwood, mighty videogame pirate from days o’ yore? Arrr! I be not afraid of you, Blind Pew.
Arrrr, wi’ me trusty shovel I be diggin’ up an internet treasure worth more than gold or dubloons, me buckos! For here be a play all about Monkey Island and the Dread Pirate LeChuck, performed by a bunch of non-acting scallywags and youngsters who should all be keelhauled and strung up by their thumbs from the yardarm! Arrrr! They be landlubbers all! But it be a good effort for all that and it warms me pirate heart for to see an old Lucasarts game so honoured, arrr. Ol’ Cap’n Lucas would be proud, he would, if he hadn’t gone mad from too much Grog. And syphilis. Arrr.
