Assery at its Finest

The Ad:

"(If you submitted before, please resubmit as our email was down) We need someone to take what our new company does and write a compelling press release. I want more than just stating what we do but rather a well written story to catch editors’ attention. We have developed technology that’s better and less expensive than what’s out there. Now we have to let people know about it.

"Please submit examples of work you have done that have been tech focused and your rate per press release."

Um. But why does the person ask for “your rate per press release” if he or she does not intend to pay?

  2. Irreverent Freelancer says:

I agree. I think this probably is a paying gig. I’m gonna apply. I’ll let you know.

  3. Craigslist Curmudgeon says:

It appears the Curmudgeon might be a tad wrong. I saw the “No Pay” in the compensation line and took it to mean, well, no pay. This may in fact be a paying gig.

    Nevermind…

  4. Star says:

Gosh, when a lister says No Pay, I believe them. Silly me, I guess. I think they asked for the pay rate so they could gloat about the money they would save.
