Atlanta Dream Trumped By Sesame Street

Despite the Atlanta Dream’s incredible turnaround this season, the team still can’t get any respect. Even though they made the playoffs, the Dream will be forced to play their first home playoff game in a different stadium because a live Sesame Street show has already been booked for the dates.
The Dream will host the Detroit Shock this Friday night at Gwinnett Arena, which is about 25 miles northeast of Atlanta.

The Atlanta Dream finished second in the Eastern Conference.
Doesn’t this show how much the city is behind the team? I mean, they booked Sesame Street during the dates of the WNBA playoffs thinking that the Dream wouldn’t be participating. After a 4 – 30 finish last season, I guess it’s not that surprising. But the Dream is a completely different team this year. They finished second in the Eastern Conference and they deserve a little credit.
Even Big Bird has to respect that kind of turnaround.
