Breaking News: Too Much Drinking Is Unhealthy

It always fascinates me that they keep finding research to prove that too much booze is unhealthy. I think at this point, they can stop doing this research. We all know it to be true. I’m feeling the effects of last night’s beer right now. The World Cancer Research Fund just released the results of a study proving that too much beer and wine causes cancer. The thing that I find shocking is that Google News returned 160 different articles about this. I wish they would pay me to announce these things rather than wasting all that money on research. [Read more]

Could You Really Die for a Beer?

A man in El Paso died after he was shot by police when fleeing a convenience store with a stolen case of beer. I can imagine that in the hour before he decided to steal it, he was eating a lot of salty peanuts and then he turned to his buddy and said ‘Man, I could just die for a beer.’ Or, the cop was sitting with his cop buddies eating donuts talking about how bored they were and he said to his buddy ‘Man, I’d kill for a beer right now.’ It’s been a while, but can’t you get a case of beer for like a $1 each? Something needs to be done to protect the sanctity of getting smashed in a bar! If there is no one around you physically, you are still drinking alone. Web friends don’t count. Dear Poor People: Sell your laptop, then you will have enough money to go to the bar. Don’t use your financial situation to become a recluse. The proper way to use Twitter to communicate about... [Read more]

Beer + TV = Perfect

Gadgetlovers, beer lovers, tv lovers can unite over this new invention. I guess the beer tap market doesn’t really change a whole lot year-to-year, so they had to come up with other ways of staying on top of the competition. They put an LCD screen into their tap in what they have named the V-Pod. It has a TV and 6 beer taps. I say whoever gets this in time for Superbowl has the biggest party. The screen is pretty tiny, 10″, but when you say to the party host “Hey Frank, can you grab me a beer?” he can no longer answer with “No, I don’t want to miss the game.” Are there any two things you can think of that could be combined into a super-product like this? [Read more]
