It always fascinates me that they keep finding research to prove that too much booze is unhealthy. I think at this point, they can stop doing this research. We all know it to be true. I’m feeling the effects of last night’s beer right now.
The World Cancer Research Fund just released the results of a study proving that too much beer and wine causes cancer. The thing that I find shocking is that Google News returned 160 different articles about this. I wish they would pay me to announce these things rather than wasting all that money on research.

It’s been a while, but can’t you get a case of beer for like a $1 each? Panhandle for about 5 minutes and you could probably get enough to buy one of those tall cans. Or, if neither of those are an option, check out an AA meeting. I love beer as much as the next guy, but I wouldn’t die for it.

Dear Pub Owners: PLEASE lower the price of beer. Something needs to be done to protect the sanctity of getting smashed in a bar! If there is no one around you physically, you are still drinking alone. Web friends don’t count.

Dear Poor People: Sell your laptop, then you will have enough money to go to the bar. Don’t use your financial situation to become a recluse.

The proper way to use Twitter to communicate about beer is to tweet things like “@francs, I’m over at St Louis grabbing some wings and a pitcher. You in?” or “I just ran into @darcievany who just ordered her 5th Mill Street Organic. Delicious!”

According to the article, the beer was contained in the truck. That’s gotta disappoint onlookers. I’d be part of the clean-up crew that gets rid of a truck of overturned beer.

Apparently half of all alcohol sales are beer, most is bought at the liquor store and drank at home. Bush parties!
I grew up an hour from the Alberta border, and the legal age in Alberta is only 18, so I visited frequently for about a year. My take is that Western Canadian beer is just way better than beer elsewhere.

I don’t see why this is such a huge deal. A true beer fan would know which shady grocery stores sell them early anyway.
I don’t see why this is such a huge deal. A true beer fan would know which shady grocery stores sell them early anyway. Though I don’t think it was really Bears fans that did the persuading. I think it was the wives and girlfriends of Bears fans. Two reasons I think they are the ones behind it:

1) If they have to stay home while their husbands watch sports all day, they want to be hammered.

2) If they can get their husbands sauced enough, they can take the credit card and hit the mall or maybe a salon.

Who needs beer so badly at 9am on a Sunday? Aren’t you still in bed because of the partying from the night before? Anyway, good job guys. Football fans, wives of fans and alcoholics can all get what they want now.
