While economy may be slowing down, analysts keep their predictions that we will not stop searching the net and, therefore, Google is destined for growth while everyone else may be dieing. Is gPhone only a Rumor?
The biggest thing from Google, aside from its record high stock prices this past Friday, is definately the rumors behind the gPhone. Is it “for real” or just a rumor? No one really knows but Richard Martin tends to think that it “ain’t happening” and while the may have very well been toying with the idea and its development, it is more to force “possible competitors” to play by the “Google rules” and nothing more. Google Tightens Apps Security
Google took another step today into making its Google Apps product more appealing with integrating security, storage and compliance services from Postini. Postini was purchased by Google over the summer (July) especially for this matter and for now will be integrated into Google Apps Premiere Edition. The move Wednesday is the latest in a series of forays Google is making into the enterprise space. Google Apps Premier Addition goes up against established enterprise messaging services, most prominently Lotus Notes from IBM and Microsoft Exchange. Texas Businessman Sueing Google, Yahoo and Microsoft
A Texas company is sueing Google, Yahoo and Microsoft for patent infrigement on his Systems and methods for transacting business over a global communications patent. The patent, awarded in 2005 outlines the process of performance base pricing for “for conducting business transactions over the Internet”. The infrigement refers to “smart pricing” which the 3 companies use in their online advertising algorithms. Sellers offer the product/service within a specified price range, and buyers accept the offer, in exchange for the opportunity to close the transaction at the lowest price offered by achieving a high score during the collateral activity.
