Their song “How You Remind Me” was chosen as the top rock song of the decade and it also placed #4 on the Top 10 songs of this decade.  I can see that.  I really love that song.  I still listen to it all the time on my iPod.

To further solidify their spot as the best group in these past 10 years, Billboard cites that they have had five other Top 10 singles and that their last four albums have made it to the Top 10 albums chart.  It’s crazy!  Their All The Right Reasons album which was released in 2005 spent 156 weeks on the top-selling albums list.

Nickelback Named Group of the Decade

Tim Burton is a lunatic.  A genius, but still a lunatic, and that is what makes his films so incredibly interesting and entertaining for children and adults alike.  This looks like one of those movies that everyone could enjoy as long as they are willing to take a journey into the dark and twisted imagination of Burton.

The film stars Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter and Helena Bonham Carter as the Queen of Hearts and that casting is no big surprise.  Depp regularly works with Burton as does Carter who is also his wife.  I have to laugh, though, because every time I see Depp in these clips, I can’t help but think I’m looking at Elijah Wood.  Do you see the resemblance?  I wonder if it was intentional.

Alice in Wonderland hits theaters on March 5, 2010 but you can check out the newest trailer now.

New “Alice in Wonderland” Trailer

She’s 17-years-old and I definitely wasn’t an angel at her age and I’m not expecting her to be either but this isn’t sexy – it’s skanky.  With so many women feeling suppressed in their sexuality, I applaud her attempt to feel comfortable with her body but there is a way to do it and this just isn’t working for me.  It comes off trashy to me and even a little awkward.  Could it be that she’s just rebelling against her squeaky clean Disney image?  That’s what happened to Britney Spears….

The best part is that this video is from her Royal Variety performance for the Queen of England.  Classy…  In case you care or don’t know, the song is “Party in the USA” from her Time of Our Lives album.

Miley Cyrus Continues to Channel Strippers

In the show, this family is related to the Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) which, of course, makes it unpopular among members of this religion since they now condemn polygamy even though it was a common practice among them years ago.

Polygamy continues to exist in Utah, often among Mormon offshoot groups, and Big Love attempts to show the upside and downside of plural. 

During the fourth season, which premieres in January 2010, they will explore and address same-sex relationships.  Again, this isn’t a shock since many prominent Mormons openly opposed Proposition 8 and helped overthrow gay marriages in California.

What do you think of this poster?  I have to laugh at the lame newspaper clippings on the wall behind Whiplash but aside from that, it looks cool to me.  The whips are, obviously, his signature weapon so I’m glad they don’t look stupid.

“Whiplash” Poster For Iron Man 2

Basically, they are like stickers that you can put onto your mp3 player but they are great because they don’t leave any kind of residue which is what I always worry about when I’m using something like this.

I have got to say that when it first came in the mail, it was so slim that I figured it was going to be some flimsy thing when I took it out of the package but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the skin.  It was sturdier than I expected and it really was super easy to apply – it literally took me less than 15 seconds to have it on my iPod, looking perfect.

Of course, it didn’t affect my ability to use the device in any way and, in fact, the MusicSkin is supposed to help protect mp3 players from scratches.  It’s awesome because my iPod still fits in the armband that I use so the skin doesn’t make it overly bulky.
