How to make Samus Aran out of Lego
First, I\’d like to clarify that this is not a reposting of How to make a Samus Aran sculpture out of Lego, which saw the light of digital day a couple of weeks ago on Re:Retro.\r\n\r\nWith that out of the way, we can now proceed with How to make Samus Aran out of Lego:\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nOf course, after viewing the video, you\’ve probably realized that the tutorial has nothing to do with Lego bricks but with creating a facsimile of Metroid\’s Samus Aran out of pieces of a, uhmm, Lego person.\r\n\r\nYou\’ve got to give the kid credit, though. He just showed us how to make both Samus Aran in Varia Suit and Zero Suit. [Read more]
Gordon Freeman in Mario Land #2
Okay, okay, wait! Before you bash my head in with that axe after showing you a bad video about Gordon Freeman’s adventure in the world of Super Mario Brothers, I want you to take a look at these videos and tell me which is better: Well, regardless of which video you choose, one thing’s for certain: They’re both better than the video I showed you in my previous posting, Gordon Freeman in Mario Land. Believe it or not, the most well known crossover in this world still has something to do with comic books. Ever heard of the Marvel versus Capcom series? Here’s a little backgrounder courtesy of Wikipedia: Marvel... [Read more]
Watch Samus dance the Metroid
I almost feel sorry about posting this video of our favorite interstellar bounty hunter Samus Aran dancing to the beat of Usher’s Yeah after reading good friend PJ Punla’s comment on my most recent article on b5media technology blog MMOtaku titled Girl gamers gaining ground in MMOs. The temptation, however, is hard to pass up, especially if you’ve seen Max Payne dance. Eerie and freaky. So without further ado, I present you Metroid’s Samus Aran dancing to Usher’s Yeah: [Read more]
Even students are into the Mario Christmas spirit
Here’s a simple video made by Evan Ferguson of Australia for his class: Not too shabby for a student. I’m sure Santa Claus got the surprise of his jolly life. You’re probably sick of Super Mario Brothers-themed Christmas postings, but for those who missed the first two, here are the links: Have a very Mario Christmas! Have a very Mario Christmas, too! Oh, and go check out Evan’s other video, “A newb’s first linerider!” [Read more]
