NewsGator has added a new feature to its rss arsenal. Thanks to its partnership with AideRSS it now has Thematic Post Rank in its services [Source]. But what exactly does this mean? This means that NewsGator can now offer a more focused and personalized (Customizavle) RSS reading. In other words it can enhance the punters RSS reading experience. Give it more value. This seems to be the other twin of how to promote RSS. (i) Others offer a service to simplify RSS feeds and (ii) others offer a service to enhance RSS feeds. Evernote for IPhone released
Evernote released Evernote for iPhone. This can be downloaded from the iPhone App Store. The release was scheduled to coincide with the 3G iPhone. According to the email, Evernote for iPhone allows it users: 1. Create notes, take snapshots, attach existing photos to notes, and record audio on iPhone and allow it to be sent to the Evernote service without the use of emails. 2. Plurk and what it can improve
I have been using Plurk or plurking for the past weeks and it is addictive but at the same time frustrating – not as frustrating as twitter but it still is frustrating. Do not get me wrong. I really like Plurk and this because: (i) It keeps you updated on what your friend does or is thinking about; (ii) It keeps you connected; (iii)Its conversation on tap. Each plurk that is a potential conversation. And from a casual observer it is interesting to see how the conversation progresses. Maybe that is why it is addictive. Mobile Internet aggregator Mobispine AB has acquired Web based feed reader NewsAlloy. The acquisition seems to be aimed at providing users a seamless product that can be viewed both on the mobile phones and PCs. Acquisition is an interesting word. Often we hear mergers and acquisition. But when one hears the word acquisition it has very different meaning. Merger means the joining of two or more companies while acquisition means the purchase of one company by another. Nothing negative really. The Sun’s Keeley Hazell RSS Widget – Yes RSS
One of the highest circulation newspaper in the World, the Sun, is now offering an RSS desktop widget that not only delivers the news but will also feature something more. Called the Desktop Keeley RSS widget once downloaded the reader will alert you when there are story updates with videos of th Sun’s page 3 model Keeley Hazell. [Source] Call it a sight for sore eyes.
