FeedMYSearch will take your Google search and convert it into an RSS feed. You can even specify the type of search based on: Web news videos blogs local books images patents You can do this with Goggle using Google News Alert. I have and I still am doing it. My impression on FeedMySearch is that it does the following: 1. Makes the rss feed creation via search more easily done. 2. It allows the info-punter to specify the search in terms of format or type of information. 3.... [Read more]

I am not really a heavy cellphone user. Normally, I would use it to call or send sms or text messages. Although, as of late I seem to be using it a lot for using Internet-based services – emails and Web 2 applications. Recently, I have been trying the phone’s RSS Reader. The Financial Costs: Reading feeds from a cellphone can be done two ways accessing the Internet by Wifi or accessing the Internet by 3G. Both seem fairly reliable. Although the WiFi option is most of the time free and accessing by 3G will cost you money. Ease of Use: So far it was easy to set-up a feed into the phone’s feed reader. Everybody knows about Nokia that has taken control of Symbian – the UK-based software company developer of Symbian – a popular operating system for smart phones. But what will Nokia do with it? Nokia plans make available for free the computer code of the Symbian and its code behind the S60, Nokia’s user interface for smartphones through a foundation called the – Symbian Foundation. Will this be the start of a war on who will dominate the mobile Internet? There are thoes who believe that because there will no longer be royalty paid this will bring down the cost of phones. Hmm … hopefully this will increase ease of use in terms of getting and syndicating information for the mobile Internet. [Read more]

Rojo undergoing a major makeover?

Is this true? Rojo is going to emulate a Phoenix. A Phoenix is a bird from myth. Harry Potter fans would be familiar with this bird. It was believed that when a Phoenix would die it would end its life in a pyre of fire. And in that fire an egg would be found that would hatch into the Phoenix. And if the news is true Rojo and its owner is poised or has done a Phoenix. And this is according to a post, Rojo RSS Reader Plans a “Life Change”, by Eric Griffith at AppScout this seems to be case. The online RSS Reader will cease to be and will be reborn. But it will come back with a new name, a new look and a new set of goals and objectives. Rojo described itself as “the best free RSS and Atom feed reader,” is owned by Six Apart... [Read more]
