Last Day on Behind the Buzz
I’m sorry to say this is my last day on Behind the Buzz (there’s a little bit of irony with this, as it’s my biggest traffic month since I started!). I’ve had a great 2 years writing here and with b5media but it’s time to move on. Thank you for your visits, your comments, your silent reading, your subscriptions. It’s all been appreciated. I’m sure this blog will continue in safe hands, so stick around to see where it goes. Nokia Comes with Music
Last week I went along to a launch of Nokia’s new phone/service Comes With Music. I say ‘a’ launch as this was one of a few, this one being the celebrity version, which means loud music, free drinks and a press line both inside and outside the venue ready to capture all the celebrities who had been rounded up by the PR team. Unifem And Say No to Violence Against Women
The Idea A more serious use of online marketing and the ability to share ideas across networks. Unifem (the United Nations Development Fund for Women) are pushing a campaign to Say No to Violence against Women, using widgets to collect digital signatures which will be presented to the UN Secretary General You add your name to the widget to sign up or you can grab your code to add to your own site. It can send code directly to Facebook, Livejournal or MySpace but unfortunately the straightforward embed does not seem to work for me, as I could not get he embed code to actually work here. Highest rated is the Wassup 2008. Not a product video, but based on one, with the same actors as the original Guitar Hero is apparently going on a World Tour and here’s a video lauding the game and how it has changed the music business, full of interviews with the musicians whose songs are in the game. That’s all that has managed to squeeze in between the politics, music vids and the usual sex stuff. [Read more]
