		<description><![CDATA[Bob Rosburg, the winner of the 1959 PGA Championship and an ABC Sports golf commentator for more than 30 years, died Thursday at his home in Palm Springs, California.  He was 82.

Rosburg had six wins on the PGA Tour, including the PGA Championship win.  He also finished second in the US Open in 1959.  Rosburg joined ABC in 1974 and became the first sports commentator to report from the course.  Today, virtually all golf broadcasts use on-the-course reporters.
Rosburg grew up in San Francisco and attended Stanford University. He joined the PGA Tour in 1953.

		<description><![CDATA[Annika Sorenstam, who retired from the LPGA tour last season, announced today that she and husband, Mike McGee are expecting a baby girl in the fall.  The 38-year-old Swede announced the gender of the baby on her blog.

Sorenstam, a hall of fame golfer, amassed 72 victories, 10 of them majors, before retiring last year to start a business and a family.  It seems that she is wasting no time.  We wish her well.

He was 77.  Shrake was a journalist and author. <p>Shrake is survived by two sons and several grandchildren. Penick died in 1995.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The LG Skins Game, a Thanksgiving weekend tradition for almost 30 years, appears to be the latest victim of the downturn in the economy. Organizers of the popular event that marks the end of the PGA season, say they plan to resume the tournament in 2010.</p>

<p>The Skins Game is unique in that prize money is awarded for every hole and in that only four golfers are invited to participate. The total prize money available is $1 million, with $25,000 awarded to the winner of holes 1-6, $50,000 for holes 7-12, $70,000 for holes 13-17, and $200,000 for the winner of the 18th hole.</p>
<p>The event is held at Palm Springs&#8217; Indian Wells Resort.  Last year&#8217;s winner was K. J. Choi (pictured above). Fred Couples has won the event a record five times and is known as &#8220;Mr. Skins.&#8221;</p>
