Auto Play Files and Devices in Windows Vista

Sometimes you wouldn’t want to autoplay particular files especially when it involves pictures and someone is peeping at your back. In most cases, you would rather autoplay everything you connect to your computer to make things simple and easy on the fly.

Anyways, to be able to configure what files and devices you want to autoplay and those that you don’t:

1. Click on the start button
2. Go to Control Panel
3. Click on Autoplay
4. From there you should be able to see a long list of things you can configure such as Audio CD, DVD movie, Pictures, Video Files, etc.
5. On the right side of each list you can choose specific actions like ripping from CD, Installing programs, or Ask me every time option.

Go and check the list and make sure you are comfortable with each item and the action associated with it.
