		<description>I think it&#039;s absolutely possible for women to be as successful as men in a vacuum.

But I think that there are other issues -  most notably family - that keep women from being less successful.

As a working mom of three kids, I can tell you that I have made choices for the benefit of my family that have definitely slowed my career.  I have twice turned down extremely lucrative offers to manage law firm practice areas because of the time involved.  I stepped down after 6 years of serving on a BOD because the number of meetings meant that I wasn&#039;t able to tuck my kids into bed at night.

I&#039;m not saying poor me.  Those are my choices and I stand by them.  But I think, culturally, women make more sacrifices in their careers for the sake of their families than men do.  And that shows in the numbers of CEOs, law firm partners and yes, even billionaires.</description>
