I’ve kept this under my hat for a while now, but I can finally announce, and very happily I must add, that Joey deVilla is joining b5media as Technical Project Manager. Actually I like how he puts it–”Nerd Wrangler”:
I figured I’d start off the working week with a big announcement: I’ve landed a new gig. As of this Thursday, March 6th, I’m going to be working at b5media, a network of 320 blogs that gets a total of over 10 million unique visits every month.
Depending on whom you ask, my new job title will be “Nerd Wrangler” or “Technical Project Manager”. I’ll coordinate b5’s development team and their projects, as well contribute my own experience and expertise in both blogging and accordion-playing. I’ve known Joey for, wow, probably nearly fours years now–almost from my beginnings of blogging I’d say. The one thing I can say about Joey, well besides the great accordion playing, is that I’ve always appreciated how he can be both technical and easy-to-understand at the same time. Come on have you ever tried to edit a Blogware theme? It’s not fun, nor is it easy to figure out much less explain. Joey always made it easy.
Joey is also, as we all know, a great guy, whip-smart, and fun to be around. I know that I’m looking forward to working with him as part of the Tech Team (I being on the Content side). Joey is a huge asset to us, don’t worry we’ll make sure he isn’t bored.
Again, welcome Joey to “the family”.

Congrats to both Joey & B5!!
Sounds like a good fit and hopefully will be a positive endeavor for all concerned!
Nerd Wrangling is a lot like cat herding – only with thumbs.
Congrats again!
Joey is a great fit. Can’t wait to work with him again!
Thanks for the kind words, Tris, and I’m looking forward to working with the team!
YW Joey and see you in Austin!
