Bad Beats

This video does a good job wrapping up the bad beats we’ve all come to know and love. I’m not sure what stings the most – when you have all your money in pre-flop or post-flop. The funny thing is some people are so afraid of bad beats that they grossly over bet and are very content to take the blinds.
If this is you, you need settle down and get more mileage out of your hands. You can’t be the recipient of pocket kings or pocket aces and be scared of having your premium hand cracked that you raise so much nobody would call you unless they themselves had a top 5 hand. Poker is a game of percentages and while yes you will lose with the best hand from time to time, you will win more often than not if you have your money in good. This is the most you can ask for. You’re not going to have the nuts in every hand you’re in.

You about nailed it with the massive preflop all ins with a nut hand and being content with the blinds. As in: Blinds are 15/30…one person limps and someone else moves all-in preflop for 1,500. I’ve called with suited connectors on occasion just to see if I can teach them a lesson.
Haha – Jason you beat one of those paranoid premium hand players with suited connectors and you might put them on retirement tilt.
Ha ha … good one… should we talk about this kind of bad beats? Yes there was a time when I was finding myself in that situation… but now I can say that I learned a little more…
what actually happens ? I believe that there are many poker promotions website out there which offer many information on how to play texas holdem and many times the first lessons are to play your premium cards, and I see a lot of players taking this to seriously these days, and that I think it happens because many people stop reading on that first article :) … which brings them in the situation presented above :)
But about the bad beats … and now I`m not talking about this kind of bad beats, which I consider as mistakes not bad beats… there are times when you are just unlucky :) if you can say it that way … and the only solution I find for those situation is the bankroll management. If you manage your bankroll well then you can take yourself out of those bad times… I think… am I right ?
