Baltimore on Mariticide Watch

It’s Thursday and once again there is an NFL game which I cannot watch. My fury at the NFL, NFL network and Comcast continues, but my rage will be overshadowed by an estrogen-centric fireball from the mid-Atlantic states. The Baltimore Ravens are pre-empting an episode of Grey’s Anatomy. If you don’t remember what Grey’s Anatomy is, it’s the hospital drama that your girlfriend made you watch after the Super Bowl last year. (Remember? The coach from the Friday Night Lights TV show got blown up.) Yeah, well, they’re not showing it this week in the Baltimore area so they can show the Ravens possibly clinch the AFC North. This by-product of the half-baked NFL Network Thursday Night football plan occured when ABC won the rights to air the game locally. (In Cincinatti, NBC has the rights to the game. Hope there’s not many rabid Office fans.)
As someone who was banished to the basement during Thanksgiving because I was too loud for those watching the latest slutty escapades of horrible, horrible doctors, I can tell you this: Pre-empting Grey’s Anatomy is not going to go over well. Ladies are going to be furious, and their boyfriends/husbands who are going to be “enjoying” the Ravens-Bengals game are in serious danger. Seriously, they should probably watch the game at a bar with a lot of witnesses. I’m not joking, this is a public safety hazard.
I, of course, will be watching neither. There’s a new OC on!
